Your Divorce Theme Song

When we fell in love and later got married, we had our own 'Song' so in the spirit of fairness I suggest that we should also have a special 'Divorce Theme Song', something therapeutic and meaningful.

Mine is : Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning - YouTube

This tune really represents my feelings about the whole %?@'ed up mess.
Please turn up your speakers and sing along .... :)

Although I don 't have a divorce song, there are 2 that could be very relevant to some. I can relate the most to the second one as I heard it in my car while driving late October two years ago, shortly after I found the ex had stripped my house of most of the valuables.

Abba - The Winner Takes It All - YouTube

Abba - Knowing Me, Knowing You - YouTube

What a 'him-who-shall-not-be-named' ! How awful - makes my Ex look like a boyscout although to be completely fair, my Ex probably would have pulled that stunt if he had not been evicted by the police.

btw I love Abba too! Dancing Queen is my favorite.:)

For me it was Adele's Rolling in the Deep all the way. That song had great timing!

We had it all till he screwed it up.

One particularly hard day, I asked myself if I could live with what I had been living with for another 10 years. The answer was no. I was ready, and my son was as safe as I could make him.

From that day forward, I vowed to live each and every day without regret.

And I have. It's been 5 glorious years of no regret, living like it's my last day. I gave up most of my money and my assets, but gained a life of happiness every single day. No regrets.

My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day’s a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride

If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past
Donate every dime you have?
If today was your last day

Against the grain should be a way of life
What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight
Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try
So live like you’ll never live it twice
Don’t take the free ride in your own life....

Nickelback

Gosh, I love that song!
