My friend is living with his girlfriend, his ex wife is now asking for spousal support from his common law girlfriend. Is that possible? They have been living together for the last 4 years in a home they purchased. I find it hard to believe the ex wife can go after is new law girlfriend. He is self employed and doesn’t
 
The ex cannot go after third party people, either for spousal or child support.

BUT

Having another income in the house might affect a judge's decision on spousal support amount, duration, etc. As LV stated, I doubt too she would be successful, but yah never know.
