Hi
I am in a common law relationship in Quebec. We both have our names on the house . The relationship is over I want him to either sell house and we split equity or he buy me out. He is in no financial situation to buy me out and he refuses to sell. How can I get him to sell the house so we can finally move on?
 
I'm not sure how it works in Quebec so you would have to confer with your legal council however I believe you can apply to the court to have the house put up for sale. This could take several months and may cost upwards of $5000.
