Wallin has apologized publicly, saying there was no attempt to mislead. Late this afternoon, Wallin released a statement saying that she has “personally reimbursed” the Government of Canada with personal cheques amounting $100,600.98. (Wallin had previously repaid $38,000.)
“I welcome an independent and objective review by the RCMP and I intend to co-operate fully with any such review,” Wallin said in a statement. ”I have not done anything wrong. I am not guilty of any misconduct. Accordingly I will not resign as a senator.”


For a woman whose work is her life, the total tally has been far higher: In May she was turfed from the Conservative caucus and now sits as an Independent alongside the disgraced Mike Duffy and Patrick Brazeau. The travel she can claim has been restricted and her file has been transferred to the RCMP for investigation. Wallin has stepped down from lucrative positions on corporate boards. (In 2012, she pulled in $68,202 in directors fees from Gluskin Sheff alone.) She has put her New York co-op on the market for $349,000, for less than she paid in 2005.

You have quite the fixation on me slughead. Are you remarks a way for you to get friendly with me perhaps? Or are you just trying to get your paws onto my SS ?

FYI - only looking for men who are self supporting and who have obscenely large pensions they'd like to share. If they can cook and clean, play golf, drink single malt, then that would be wonderful. I don't mind if he take a night off or two during the week to go out with his buddies, operative word being "out" as I just cant tolerate a mess when I get up in the morning to prepare for my massage/personal trainer. Nails/pedicure are done in afternoon so that's ok if he wants to use the pool for a few laps. The evening meal should be started by 4:00 at the latest. Well you get the drift. I am one accomodating girl.

:) Slughead, I love you. :))) Not because you are bashing Arabian, (there are cases when the spousal support is appropriate, although very, very few, and it seems Arabian could be one of the few), but because of your original post. ;)

the fat bald guys like porches ...us guys with light feathers have a little more class dont forget i got ride of the excess weight when i got the divorce. Im willing to bet your ex would agree....

But, but, they have made financial decisions based on an expected income!!

Too bad you can't fire people from SS and CS.
 
Obviously Pamela is not the only one to feel entitled. Duffy and Brazeau are also involved in fighting to keep their positions in the senate. They talked yesterday. It will be Pamela's turn today.
