Cynthia - realize that we're all the same on this forum. No one is better than the other. Tayken is just some dude who has access to a super fast database and who is familiar with psychological terminology. He has many times stated that he is not a certified psychologist/psychiatrist.

Your opinions are valuable and we need you to keep giving us your views on things. There are many of us on here that have been screwed by the system.

You do have friends on here and you can PM any one of us. Call me anytime. I'll pm you my phone number.

Donna aka "Arabian"

If there is deliberate attacks on here, by any member, with the purpose of exposing an individuals personal identity ...this could be basis for both criminal and civil legal proceedings.Cyber bullying is a criminal offence.Every criminal offence has a corresponding civil tort.

Moderators dump this thread as requested by Cynthia. It is always better to err on the side of caution. If the legal end of things doesn't bother you, than perhaps show a bit of compassion.

Cynthia it is still only midnight out here in Alberta so you should know there are many of us still on the forum.

You obviously went through a tremendous ordeal and we certainly don't know what all the details are but we would certainly like to hear your side of things. You have lots and lots to contribute to this forum. Please do keep in touch with us and let us know how you are getting on.

how do i delete my profile.....and no I am to busy being a Mom to see whst is going on.....Taken had and has given so much great advise WHEN IT SUITS HIM and now because of him another commits suicide.......DELETE MY PROFILE PLEASE AND ALL MY POSTS......God Bless my Sons.....
There is no need to be dramatic. Just stop posting and you will be forgotten in history, just like in real life.

Posting on the internet invites response. Be prepared for that or don't do it.

Wow Mess. Way to blame the "victim".

If her personal information has been displayed to intentionally out her, I agree with Murphy that it should be deleted.

I don't know exactly what happened and I don't think it should be shared here as an explanation. What I do think is a moderator should offer impartial, factual responses to a poster's concern (for example, "The poster's concerns have been investigated and there is nothing against our terms of service, etc.") instead of just minimizing her post and reinforcing that she is easily forgotten if she just goes away.

People cry out for help in a variety of ways. Perhaps she has done just what you suggest Mess - gone away in a very permanent way.

I think that is an absolutely disgusting and irresponsible response and certainly doesn't represent my view.

I wish you good health Cynthia.

Perhaps time for all of us to reflect on the demise of the former moderator who did, in fact, take his own life.

My personal message would be that there are people out there who can help you. Suicide is a very selfish act because you leave people behind that have to emotionally deal with your abrupt departure from their lives. You may think by dying that you escape your problems but all you are really doing is leaving your problems to others whom you love.

You matter. People love you. Life will get better.

Clearly things have been deleted from here... But my question is... Did a poster actually say... Oh here Cynthia's case or did the poster simply post a case, which happened to be Cynthia's and she took it upon herself to respond the way she did and reveal her personal information?

Caselaw is posted on this site all the time and if it happens to be one of the members cases, that is no fault of anyone... If one decides to react the way Cynthia did then of course we all know the case belongs to you. If you see your case and want to remain nameless better to just pass over and not get involved.

I am sure I will get belittled for this but Cynthia you cannot be serious? Talking about commiting suicide because your screen name is no longer nameless? This forum is full of a bunch of people from across Canada, none of who really know you, to blame this forum or a certain poster for your thoughts of suicide is absurbe... If you have more going on in your life seek the help you need.

Moderation
Mods will not delete or move posts willy-nilly, we will make decisions based on quantity, quality, and intensity. Mods are also ordinary members and post frequently, this has nothing to do with being Mods. Moderation is just housekeeping performed by an agreement between the board owner and the Mods. Do not complain about the Mods on the board, such posts will be immediately removed.

Cynthia, I do hope we hear from you again, just so we know that you are ok. Please do not listen to those on here who are being 'pig-headed'. They do NOT in any way represent the majority of those who care!
I do hope you are able to get past what happened here.
Tayken, is always quick to respond to a thread he starts, but for some strange, odd reason, we have yet to hear from him, hopefully for a heartfelt apology.
Cynthia, do get back to us.
I hope you feel better soon!

Really? I apologize for that then. Did I happen to link it over wrong, or something? Is there maybe an area on this forum where I can read how to properly do that so I don't make the same mistake again? I appreciate your response and if you could help me, as I truly did not know that I had not copied and pasted correctly to avoid copyright issues.
And what was the 'other stuff'? Did I say something wrong? I had only posted factual information.

Thanks!

No, you didn't post it incorrectly. The owner of the copyrighted information asked that it be removed. We complied.

As for the 'other stuff', each of us dealt with some of it so I'm not even sure what all of the posts said as they were deleted before I saw them. Most of the posts, I believe, were in relation to the same info and were removed for that reason.

There is no way to delete your profile, either as a poster or a moderator. Simply stop posting or visiting the board and your posts will eventually fall off the last page of the board.

Wow! Personal vendetta against her?
How terrible...especially for a "moderator".
If anyone else posted that towards another, I bet it would be deleted.

Not at all. This is the standard response to anyone asking the ' how do i delete my profile' question. You can't, just stop posting. And Mess is correct, there really IS no reason to be so dramatic.

Really??? A link? At the bottom of the pages it said portions may be copied, blah, blah, blah.

I posted what was left alone, and one deleted post. In fact a post or two down made by another member quotes what was deleted of mine. Doesn't make sense

That is a very harsh standard response though, especially given the circumstances.
..........

The posts were removed. The rest was drama.
The wrong posts were removed. She was complaining about The original post in this thread as submitted by Tayken.

I am sure the wrong posts were removed in error :) At least I know my one was, as I was quoted and the quotes still remain.

Will you please shut up about it already. To do otherwise is just to continue drama. Drop it.

While I have yet to comment on this thread, here is my two cents:

Tayken did not link the site members user name. Tayken cited case law from Canlii, which is publically accessible.

The more posts to this thread, the more life it's given.

Madm82, if you want to respect the poster in question- stop posting in this thread.

Blame, Blame, Blame, we are all so good at blaming. We blame the economy for our financial situation, we blame our partner for all that has gone wrong, we blame our x spouce for the lack of our relationship with our children, we blame lawyers for the cost of legal advice, we blame the system for the back log, blame, blame, blame. Isnt it about time we look within and realize that it is an invidual who makes the choices and decisions.
When we are ready to start behaving like adults and take ownership for where we are in our lives it is then and only then things can move forward and improve.

I hate to even think this but if children are used as a power tool either for emotional advantage or financial gain I want to throw up.

Regardless of what you posted and that it said it could be copied, the original author requested it be removed. We complied, period.

And no, it isn't harsh, it's simply the facts in response to 'how do I delete my profile'. You can't, nor can you delete past posts, however people ARE cautioned prior to posting, people SHOULD know better than to post anything they don't want others to see/find, and people SHOULD take that into consideration prior to posting their life's details on the net for the world to read - FOREVER.

Circumstances or not, that's the reality.

Your posts were NOT removed in error. Thank you for all the questions, if you have anything further, please feel free to check this link prior to posting them in this or any other thread:
