I had this judgement for ss against me and we won it and got reversed in my favour.
So trying to talk with this fro to find out if anything was sent to them yet before the next garnishee comes off,and they said nothing yet ,but it is the attitude that they give off that it is upsetting .She said I was getting excited and making her excited over this matter ,but all i was doing was trying to ask questions,.
Are they that anti male ,she asked where the kids were living and i said with me as always ,I think this upset her for some reason .
She also said it takes time ,but when it came to me and garnisheeing ,it was pretty fast, all i want is my money back and to see if they got the stop order in front of them ,might of put it on the bottom of the pile now.. dam.

Normally the FRO issues the garnishment to the employer. I wonder if the employer would halt garnishment if you gave them a copy of a judge/clerk signed order directly to the payers workplace. Might be interesting to see how the employer would react.

That is a very good idea.

You have a court order that garnishment is to stop. Employer must then stop garnishment.

They are not anti-male. They deal with a high volume of stressed and angry people and it sounds like you might be one of them. Answering the phones at FRO or MEP must be one of the worst jobs in the world. You got the information you wanted - no, we haven't received the form yet - let the attitude (yours and theirs) go.

I'd have to say my agent was pleasant to deal with, and professional.

Nah, you aren't special....they treat me exactly the same way. They never answer their phones, rarely return phone calls and don't listen. The only way to communicate effectively with them is by fax. At least you can say what you need to, ask a couple of questions and get it all out in writing before they cut you off and state that you are difficult. Faxing gives written record of when you've advised them, etc.

Errrm...No. As opposed to people working in a sweat shop making Iphones, Nike gear, victims of human trafficking...all working for less than minimum wage?

Worst job in the world?? Maybe. Are they forced into these government jobs? Nope. They have the option to quit and move into something that better suits their education and disposition. JMHO.

I She said I was getting excited and making her excited over this matter.. .
I don't know you and I wasn't there to listen to the conversation, but if that is how this person felt, then that is how you were coming across.

Actually i was in a good mood and not being defensive or evasive on matters,I was even trying to joke with her, as far as her attitude goes ,be professional ,you are dealing with people in hard situations and most dont understand why it is happening to them ,.
I gave her respect but got none back in return.
Her job choice ,government job, pension ,days off ,boo hoo.. deal with people .

At the end of the day.... the situation is how do you mitigate the situation...

One wants to stop payments... You have the documentation.... but due to time frames it's latent.. Give them the "signed" documentation, and see what they do with it... All the rest is emotional baggage.

The key is signed documentation.... whether "ENDORSED" buy a judge or clerk or other supporting documentation.

Remember the key is "Cover yours.... kick theirs".

LImer, thanks, and i know, scrambling around to get it ,got calls and emails in to lawyer,no return or answer yet but got his bill today in mail..Can i get this from the court house directly myself ,a copy ,i am sure my lawyer has it ,i dont see anything anymore..

I mean to thank all who reply also, terrible process this stuff,, long weekend enjoy,i cooked a turkey last weekend ...

I was only in FRO a month when i received a garnishment package even though i owed nothing, when I called the worker stated 'oh just ignore it we are screwed up here. Fast forward 7 months and I use the automated system it gives me the last 5 payments, not one matches what I have bank confirmation for i got a voice mail back stating a new computer system was installed in April and there are issues. Then I faxed a document to show previous amounts were paid on a Monday and Friday the case worker said she was waiting for it to be scanned and forwarded to her. Talk about a boondoggle did the Liberals make this Ministry up.
