Funny you say that: the other day I was thinking of making up a whole new thread (general chat) using as many names as I possibly could from this forum, in sentence form to tell a little story. Might be fun.

IE: I've really hadenough of feeling so Wretched and SadAndTired. I've been Tayken for a ride through Court and OhMy, I just can't stand it anymore. The whole thing is a Mess, and I'm Frustratedwithmyex and I just want to tell OldLawyer to Billm. Thankfully FRO is a CSAngel, and HopefulDays lie ahead. :)

Men on this forum that voice their opinion against ss are not only against paying ss, but would the situation be reversed and their female partner was the higher income earner, would not contemplate to become a financial burden on their female ex partners.

And there are many women who would fall into that category, myself included.
However, in my situation I am the higher income earner and there is a reason for this - I'm smart, educated, and most importantly, INDEPENDENT.

People who milk SS are not solely female or male. They lack independence and potentially pride. I would NEVER want to feel like I was being 'taken care of'. My sister on the other hand, STAY AWAY. :) It comes down to personality, not gender.

Hadenough.

Hadenough: Not to be misunderstood.... I really have hadenough and thought I'd use your screenname. It's so appropriate.

I might have to change my name soon to "hadmorethanenough."

For as much that has been finalized, (if there's such a thing) there's as many loose ends. Some I can walk away from, others - not quite. It's the loose ends that are weighing me down a lot, I find.

Someone made a comment about men as payers on this thread, so I made a response to that comment. And cheers to the Independence :D

Not everyone agrees that in ending a marriage the lifestyle ends.
I take exception with the above sentence.
The Judge is MOST DEFINATELY aware that there will be a lifestyle decrease to the average income earner male that must pay SS and CS.

The differenece in this case, is that the amount to be payed is NOT decreasing the lifestyle of the payor.

Does that make it right? Not in my opinion.

[QOUTE=arabian;122234]If anything I believe the justice felt that the woman was entitled to maintain her previous lifestyle. This wasn't a fly-by-night marriage. I believe it was of a long-term nature 30 yrs. I believe the compensatory portion of the SS entitlement alone would be substantial.

And yes it is indefinite. Sounds like hubby should have made a better offer to settle. Actually we don't know anything, this might be a good deal for both of them. For us mere mortals 175 k amounts to a few million a year of fully taxable income. 2 mill a year isn't a lot for some people.[/QUOTE]

Tres Drole!

To be a little on the sinister side, wouldn't it have been cheaper to just have had her 'drown' while swimming the beaches of Rio de Janeiro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia?

Even after being caught, and paying a boat load of money to lawyers to get you off?

......You might have some problems...

if they found her drown in the waters they would id her and link with the divorce case, who do you think the police will go after?
