School distance

Is 7 kilometers and 15 minute drive too far for a kindergarten school? Thats my distance since I moved and ex's newest "concern"?
 
Not if you can drive and pick your child up (or have someone do that for you on your days). Have a back up in case your child needs to come home on short notice because of illness etc. I don't think I'd be comfortable putting someone that young on a bus....but that's just me.
 
When I was a kid I walked to school. It was uphill both ways, there was snow and ice storms all year and we weren't allowed to wear shoes. The truent officer had trained rats follow us and nip at our heels if we weren't walking fast enough.

Seriously, it was about a 15-20 minute walk, depending on how distracted my friends and me got.

Um... 4 year old children ride the bus too and from school, age is not an issue here. As for the 15 min drive, I took the bus every day to school and it was a heck of a lot longer than 15 min... as long as you are in the school district, there should not be an issue.
 
I took the bus as well as a kid...when I was going through my separation, and going for custody, I wanted all my T's crossed and i's dotted. I don't know all the details of his situation, so perhaps I answered too quickly.
 
you have to start working towards email only communication..... she's getting you rattled. Slow down. You're doing a good job.
 
Thanks all, IDK how did this thread end up in common law.

I will drive her to school and pick her up. Mess, just like you I walked upto 30 minutes to school but through woods and there were wandering dangerous dogs. I think her "concern" is invalid :)
 
Sounds like an excuse to me and an attempt to interfer with your time. 15 minutes is nothing. We drive 45km's or 40 minutes 1 way to access my step children.
