Releasing therapy records

Has anyone here ever been succesfull in getting the release of files / records pertaining to the mental state of their ex-partner? If so, how was it done? I'm not asking about getting a mental assessment done, just to get the files that are already in existence made available to both parties to prove historical behaviours.

Do a google search on releasing medical courts or the like. I had this issue months ago before the Office of the Children's Lawyer covered it for me in their clinical investigation.

It's not going to be easy I suspect.
