need advice - I purchased a property in 2004 and at the time my husband lived in another country. In 2008 my husband and I decided verbally that we would go our separate ways, again at the time he lived in another country. We have never lived in this property together. I am seeking to get a divorce. Does he still have claims to this property

we got married 1991. We moved to Mozambique in 1998 but then I moved back to Canada in 2001 with my son. We had a long distance relationship and he visited in the beginning but then the visits were very long apart (3-4) years and eventually we just grew apart. While I was here with my son I started working and saved to buy a house and moved on my own in 2005. My husband did not contribute towards the downpayment or has made any contribution towards the house or even given and financial support since. Now I just want to make this legal but am worried he may claim half the house. This house is my son's future....
