My ex moved out about 4 months ago and I've been offering her financial assistance on a monthly basis i.e support. I have remained in the house and continue to make all house payments, personal credit cards, heat/hydro etc.
We have agreed to sell the house and upon sale of the home I expect to receive some form of credit from the payments I've been continuing to make.
My question is what is the correct allocation of expenses that I can claim after the house is sold ? Is it prorated on our joint income (72/25) or is it 50% of all monthly expenditures as it relates to the mortgage and other agreed liabilties ?
If there is any referring documentation that I view that'd be great.
