Canada and the U.S. would benefit if Romney became president. With his previous business experience, this would be a much needed attribute for the failing U.S. economy. I like his spirit.

Oh yes, he and my dad (in his younger days) look so much alike they "could" have been twins. :)

I like this quote:

"– "Mitt Romney has a better grasp of foreign policy than Barack Obama. Through his work with Bain Capital, he is an expert at creating jobs. Mr. Obama keeps printing money, and his lack of interest in national intelligence briefings is terrifying. Obama’s attendance at a fundraiser in Las Vegas after the murder of the Libyan ambassador shows his true priorities.

Looks like two sides of the same coin... Equally
complicit in a broken con game.
'Merica needs some viable 3rd party candidates.

Romney's business experience consisted of getting hired as a consultant, having companies take out millions of dollars in loans to pay his consulting fees, and then advising the companies to lay off workers to reduce costs to pay off the loans.

Romney was governor of Massachusetts where Obama leads him by over 20%. Do you think the citizens of Massachusetts might know something about Romney, having had him as leader of their state government?

Republican Presidents historically run up record deficits while at the same time cutting programs. How? They cut taxes to the rich and the corporations. What is Romney promising? To cut taxes to the rich and the corporations. Does this have any economic effect? Yes, the economy tends to tank when they do this. "Trickle down economics" was disproven since the Reagan era.

Will Romney be good for Canada? Right wing American governments view a politician like Stephen Harper as a Socialist. There's never any "Win/Win" scenarios with a POTUS like Romney.

If he wins the best we can hope for is that he doesn't start a nuclear war in the Middle East.

My favourite quote of the election camplaign so far, was that the U.S. has to be less dependant on foreign oil, and rely on "domestic production from Canada and Mexico." Right.

So true.

And as Tina Fey puts it: "If I have to listen to one more grey-faced man with a two-dollar haircut explain to me what rape is, I'm gonna lose my mind,"

The Romney/Ryan ticket is a disaster when it comes to social issues.

Wow I'm shocked... I don't know why anyone buys the @#%& that Romney is selling.

Trickle down economics doesn't work; a fact that has been proved over and over. If you want a preview of what Mitt Romney's economic plan may do in a few years look at the turmoil Ireland is in. They did what Romney is proposing years ago.

[RANT]ALL governments should learn that you SPEND during a recession and cut during economic stability and growth (counterintuitive I know but it is the right approach), do not cut the corporate tax rate because while it may look like it is creating jobs it is creating unstable, low paying jobs (manufacturing sector primarily) and can effectively create "working poor", invest in education during the recession as many will use a recession to upgrade their degrees or go back to school and that is where they can benefit and come out stronger.[/RANT]

Politically I lean more to the right. I consider myself a fiscal conservative with some social leanings (abortion, gay marriage etc...I'm not the person to tell another how to live....)

If I had to choose between Obama and Romney.............I'd probably move to Costa Rica as if those are your two (only/best) choices, the US is screwed.....

Obama!!

Having zillions of jobs would be wonderful ..... but having an entitled, right-wing president who's experience sums up to "consulting" .... I dunno. He should be willing to do the jobs he creates.....

JMHO! Go left, go left!

I say this with humble pride and gratitude: We live in the best country in the world.

I was in Costa Rica many decades ago, and have to say the weather was fabulous and the people were very friendly and sincere. Lots of Americans live there, including Canadians. Not a bad choice still, as far as I know.
