Not sure if this is a good place to ask this question... apologies if it's not appropriate!

I'm wondering, if I am legally married and have a child (but my husband is not the biological father) - would my husband have a legal responsibility towards that child?

The biological father's name would be on the birth certificate.

If your husband is willing to remain in the marriage and take on the role of the father, it is possible that he could become responsible for the child in the long term. But there are many factors to take into account regardless.

What kind of responsibility are you talking about? Doctor's appointments, picking them up from school, sports? Financial?
