I just got word from FRO that they are moving forward with all arrears in child support that my ex owes.

She mentioned something about 30 days....

My ex is on EI, maybe it takes that long for them to garnish his EI cheque or would FRO give my EX the option to pay.

Who determines the amount?

I guess I should of asked all these questions to my case worker but I was so happy and relieved that she called me with this news, I've been trying to have them enforce for over a year.

Anyone have experience with FRO?

Your case worker should be able to outline things for you and possibly there is information on the FRO website.

FRO would negotiate directly with him on how much he has to pay in the arrears. They may or may not request that he completes a financial statement (your case worker would know).

I hope your ex starts to make regular payments to you.

I am glad to hear that you've had some success with FRO. My experience has been less than desirable.

I've been using FRO for more than a year now and there has been very little progress with receiving payments. My ex works sporadically and from what I gather works for cash...so difficult to collect on.

FRO sent him notice of warning for license suspension back in July of 2013, and have done nothing since then. I call my case contact and they reassure me that they are going to take aggressive enforcement actions...I am still waiting for that. He was suppose to enter a repayment proposal...and did not. And they in turn did nothing.

Each month his payment gets added to the pot of illusive IOU's.
