I do agree that we do have some very good programs, and we do have a country that is the envy of many, but there are many other areas that we are falling far behind. I must admit that I do not have much knowledge of our CPP or other benifits available, as right now I am not entitled to them anyways, as they only apply to some people. Just like our family laws, and immigration policies.
Can anyone explain why after a 10 year review of family law and child issues, there was a scathing report that demanded many changes to fix our system, yet 10 years since we still do not have any changes? Just read the information about the "For the sake of the children" report. Why do we just get lip service from our government, and no change? Most on here are here because of some very unfortunate and preventable family law problems.
In my case, the family law problem has affected many other areas of my life, and these problems will not be resolved any time soon. Had the government changed the laws as recommended, I would not have the problems I have today. And my children would not be suffering needlessly.
Standing on the sidelines, you are sooo far off from my situation. I did not insult your relatives, and I did not choose to stay over seas. I was forced to stay over seas. My move over seas was pushed by my ex wife, who wanted me to earn better money, so that we could move back to Canada and pay off our house early. I had no idea that her actual plan was to make me go over seas, and just send my entire earnings back every month, and endorsed by our family courts to do this. I tried to return at the beginning of my horror, but was ordered by one of our first judges that I need to continue to earn the income I was. Just explain to my how that was fair?
If you chose to actually read what I said, you would understand the difference, but you only want to see me as the villian for insulting Canada. When I served our country, I had not experienced the bias in our family courts. I had not experienced how false allegations could cause so much problems. I believed that everyone was equal in court, and that lies would be punished. I was wrong. This forum is full of others who have also felt the same problems as I have, and so nobody here can claim that what I say is not the truth. Perhaps some have not experienced the same problems, but you can't deny that there are some very bad judges and bad orders made by those bad judges.
