More Financial Disclosure

I was going over a joint account held by myself and separated spouse. I saw an account number that was not familiar to me. We are still working thru the separation/financial stuff (unfortunately it's thru the courts). I did not see this account on the others financial statements. When I have asked before to see account info...all I got was the balance as of our separation date. Is it possible to ask to see more than that? Am I entitled to see more activity on those accounts? The reason I ask is because funds could have been transferred out as this person was cheating and knew they would be leaving so had the time to prepare for that.
Thanks for any advice.

If this was a jointly held account you should be able to get the information directly from the financial institution.

You can request information but if it looks like you're on a fishing expedition you won't have any success.

So you are concerned about "deposits" from another account into your jointly-held account? Talk to your bank and see if they can shed some light on it (investment or personal account). If you don't have luck then simply send a letter requesting all deposit/withdraw transactions for that account and ask where the money came from? If he doesn't provide the information you can make a motion requesting full disclosure. Unaccounted-for deposit(s) could indicate other sources of income and you should be entitled to that information. I think you should try to get as much information from the bank at first.

These transactions happened in 2011 so I hope I can get some answers from the bank. Thank you for your assistance.
