Is there any rule in regards to how many days is considered "late" in payment of child support or spousal support that the payee can report to the authority?

What's the steps to report a delayed or failure of both supports' payments ?

Sign up with FRO, let them worry about it.

From what I've heard on the forum, I think they consider anything up to 30 days late or so to be "on time".

I could easily go without paying any support for 3-4 months with the FRO if I really wanted to , and then file a financial statement listing all my expenses and debts and offer to pay them back $37 a month to catchup thereafter - if that is not good for them then they have to spend thousands of dollars to take me to court - or they could decide to just cut into my paycheques - but I doubt they would do that after an offer to repay.

Not saying I would ever do that, but just to give you an idea. It's even more helpful when you're on good terms with your case worker and their supervisor. Last time I changed my address I was joking around with them telling them my new address was in Mexico - they laughed pretty hard.

FRO or any other maintenance enforcement agency can and will garnishee wages. You should take any notification you receive in the mail very seriously. If you don't have a regular job then FRO will go after your bank accounts (shared or not).

It is also pretty standard for the collection agency to report you to the credit bureau, register property lien and start process of having your driver's license and passport suspended.

It can all happen very quickly.
