I just finished school 6 weeks ago and have had a few positive interviews. I'm wondering if I get a job what the best way to bring up the subject of taking time off for court would be? I'm nervous because the last two jobs I've had I've lost because of court.

Actually, they can't fire you for having to attend court. Appearance is mandatory and you should be protected under employment laws for having to attend.

Just be honest with the times dates and locations of when you have to be at court. I don't have the specific president on this but, any company with an HR department should know this simple fact.

Actually they can fire you for whatever they want so long as they give you proper pay, trust me they fired me and I spoke to lawyers and the labor board and there was nothing I could do about it.
