I was ordered to pay child support at our case conference back in December (I had voluntarily paid child support for November and December at an amount higher than what was ordered, and have not even been late with a payment since), and just received my initial package of stuff from FRO.
Now part of that package was a copy of the Support Deduction Notice they sent to my employer directing them to deduct my monthly support payments from my paycheck. Is this normal? I feel like I'm being treated like a "deadbeat dad" when I have never missed a payment. I thought they only involved the employer if there were issues with non or late payments.
I'm still hoping to get my ex to sign a release from FRO involvement, but we'll see.
