For those taking another kick at the cat

Well, actually... My s15 and I run 5k road races for fun (he almost always wins the men's division... I cannot say the same for myself in the women's), I make a VERY good salary, I do not drink or smoke, and I dislike conflict... Especially when it's about s15.

Well, Oink, we probably haven't met because, judging by your Freudian slip on the title of this thread, I THINK YOU KICK CATS!!!

Lol!

Errrrm....I don't kick cats (figure of speech sweetheart) :D

The fact that you aren't winning your 5km category makes me question why you are looking for a "fit guy"? Perhaps I can make you win your category after whipping you into shape *wink*

I more or less win my category all the time ;)

OK, I'll chime in on this.

So I've had two "relationships" since my separation, both during my in home separation. I was very upfront about it, 1st meeting type of material... I was amazed I got 2nd dates...

1st relationship was pretty intense I again avoided a bunch of signs that I should have walked away from but the sex was great, however she turned out to not be very stable. Didn't end well, but was a great learning experience and since it was my first date in 18 years I learned A LOT.

2nd relationship went very slow we saw each other a couple times each month. It eventually got to the point where I just didn't feel she was putting as much as I was into it. We still talk and in fact we went to a NXNE show on Saturday night. Very nice girl just not sure we are at the same place, which is ok.

I had another first date three weeks ago that went well but I was not really that into her. It was sad that I really debated seeing her again just because but I slapped myself out of it and just told her straight up. So much for her feelings.

At this point I don't want a "Serious" relationship which excludes a lot of women but oh well. I've got a busy life and would like to find someone who is also busy enough with their stuff that they are not clingy. See each other once or twice a week +/-.

- Mentally and emotionally stable.
- Must not want kids, since I took care of that two years ago.
- They can have kids but I don't plan on them meeting my kids for some time, they have been through enough lately.
- I'd like someone to be successful in their career and have some kind of education
- have a car
- share some similar interests
- Be slim/fit

I've been doing the POF and okCupid crap with mixed results. I just don't want to meet "bar" people, it's just not who I am. I've thought of trying some "Meetup" events as it's not "online" dating and more activity based.

We shall see.

Man....you've been busy, no wonder all that clutter has been cleared out yet :D

Yeah....concur with the ducation, being slim and fit, have a car, not clingy and have some similar interests

Bar is the worst place to meet someone anyway.....better of at COSTCO, the library and bookstore

I'm slim and fit, have a car, am not clingy...

But I want an older man. And I have a lot of requisites.

Here's a dating service I saw on the plane to TO today. Not sure how good it is.
I've never used an online dating service or any kind of dating service. I'm waiting for my divorce.

It's Just Lunch! The World's #1 Matchmaking & Dating Service

I guess all we have is your word on that :-)

Did you sign up then.....am guessing you did since you manage to take down the particulars of the site :D

Older man aka someone close to their grave a la Hannah Nicole Smith way of doing business? ;)

Oink is in a nasty mood tonight.

I want an older gentleman because I'm older. No, I didn't sign up...just wanted to help anyone who might be interested.

Older and gentleman in the same sentence.....what is the matter, a young buck too much for you to handle? :D

Ouch....someone put their foot in mouth

Caranna.....I have no doubt you are a young 69 (nice positional number too) :p

Most of the ladies are wrecks by the time they get to 40. Yes, I know, we have wrecked them. (at least they believe this. my ex is on antidepressants since we divorced)
They are physically in really bad shape, have no time because of the kids, and desperately searching for something delusional they think they have missed during their marriage. I have tried offline and online, I'm somewhere around ~10 longer/shorter relationships and really started to give up the hope of finding somebody "normal", ie. somebody whose abnormalities compliments my abnormalities. :)

You might be on to something here....so Sex, good looks?

Although they don't admit it, most of the ones with kids, are looking for a father figure for their kids, want to keep the decision making, and if things don't work out, expect to hold you for in-loco parentis

Not all of them.

The last girl I dated and still talk to was not like this (yet). We dated for 3 1/2 months and neither of us even met each others kids. We both stated up front that our kids had a father/mother and that's not what we were looking for.

Now saying that, 3 1/2 months is an extremely small amount of time. Who knows how it would end with a longer relationship.

in-loco is something I have thought a lot about. However it could go both ways. It "might" be hard for one parent to get it without the others right to also claim for it, but that would totally depend on the schedule of the kids I suppose.

Strangely enough, a few of us at work recently had a conversation about dating, and we came up with three things that were essential right up front.

CPIC check
Medical test from a doctor
Equifax report

Well.....good luck with that, who is going to pay for the transunion / equifax report and medical test? I am guessing both parties are going to do this and not just one person?

I posted a link about credit rating dating before....I'll be willing to know if a potential interest has had collection agencies chasing them in the past

Funny what people talk about at work eh on copmpany's time....just saying ;)

.

Like you said...3.5 months is hardly enough time to make that kind of call or pretend that you know someone. We know some people move in their new found love interest in that amount of time

It's an attitude like that that would instantly take you off my list.

I would never want to date someone who is so bitter about their separation that they would paint an entire gender with the same brush. :p

Didn't even know I made it onto "your list", don't know how to take that one.....but the feeling is mutual sweetheart ;)

Bitter? I am the one that asked for the divorce

Just to add to my list above....

- If the person has a kid, then it better not be a daughter...don't need the drama (prefrence with no kids)

- They can't have sole custody (red flag)

sucker for amazing eye color, a handsome face, and a thick accent lol. so where u from again? lol

with my guy now...I keep saying if the ex had even half of his personable qualities I wouldn't have ran off in panic
