Emails in a motion

So I'm self represented these days and I am going to file a contempt motion against my ex.

If I am using my ex's emails as evidence at the motion can I use them as is or do I need to have them sworn/notarized or something?

Thanks!

Notary is the best way.

However depends how many you have, how important etc. My text messages that I intent to use unless ex caves in will only be sworn exhibits.

If you just print and show then your ex may say they are false.

What you do is refer to them in your Affidavit as Exhibit A, B and so on then at the end you have a page that says

this is Exhibit "A" referred to in the
Affidavit of your name
sworn before me, this 11th day
of September (actual date)

A commissioner, etc.

One for each exhibit followed by the printed out email in question. When you swear your Affidavit you can get the person witnessing to sign each of these pages.
