Disposition costs associated with buying out

Morning Everyone;

I plan on buying my former wife's portion of the house out.

Really, so the kids have somewhere stable to be for the next couple of years, while the transition takes place.

Does anyone know, is there a law set out where this must come off of the appraised value?

Also, is there a recommended or accepted percent? i.e. 4 % of the appraised value.


Moreover, does anyone have a link stating the info.? That would be great.
