You can split the CPP credits accumulated during the marriage.
If you go on the government website, and do a search, you'll find the form you have to fill.
It's fairly straight forward. And, it is easier if your ex signs off on it, but even if he doesn't, there's nothing he can do to stop it.
Also, you will give him half your credits. So, it's only an advantage if you were a stay at home parent or had significantly less income during the marriage.
