Common law and separation

I just have a question, I am currently living with my boyfriend and he will not marry me, we have been living together for 10yrs now, I cannot wait anymore for him to marry me so I have decided to get out, my question is what are the laws in Ontario regarding common law and Separation. If I leave what am I entitled too. I have helped with mortgage payments for years but I am not on title to the house. Can I force him to sell the house in order to pay off the loan of 15,000 that is in both of our names? How do I go about doing this without a lawyer what forms do I need? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Sorry to sound a little frustrated, but shouldn't you try using the search feature on this site before asking such a generalized question? A little effort on your part to look for the answer before asking for it to be generally provided will be rewarded with a lot of help from the members.

please try and remember that someone coming to this site is probably in emotional turmoil and using a search feature may be the last thing on their mind. They are looking for answers quickly because for the most part, things are very time sensitive when it comes to legal matters. All you had to do was ask the poster to please provide more details and I am sure that they would have willingly. When I reread their post it seems like they provided all the details and it wasn't a general question.
