my wife told me that her past 3 income tax returns were just below basic personal excemption and none of it would be considered as income. That i would being paying full C/S based on my income.the lawyer told her this

Ask the court to impute an income of at least minimum wage full time, more if she has an education or experience or past job such that she could reasonably make that higher income should she get a job in her field.

A judge will not let her get away with claiming an income of zero. Don't take your ex's advice on anything, go find answers on your own. Of course her lawyer is going to tell her things like this because it keeps the business flowing to him.

make sure you read the posts on what to do when separating and make copies of papers etc. Get prepared now as it can get nasty later. Also remember to clear the history on the computer if it is shared with her as you do NOT want her to know what advice you are getting. I know its hard but you will get through it.
