My son will be attaining his BA after 4 years of full time university. He wants to continue for another 4 years, am I still financially responsible?

I don't believe you are responsible any longer. At this point he's on his own (job or student loan) to pay for his own expenses.

Thank-you. I have talked with two different lawyers. One says I am still responsible the other says my commitment is fulfilled. Very confusing.

To my knowledge you are only required to pay CS for your child UNTIL they attain their 1st university/college degree and your obligation should be fulfilled, for at this point, the child should be able to find work suitable in their area of schooling to maintain themselves and afford the cost of a 2nd degree. UNLESS your income is extremely high, 150,000 and over, then 'perhaps' you may be required to contribute. If your income is average, 40G, 50G, 60G, then your obligation is complete after their 1st degree. Get another opinion from a 'reputable' lawyer.

Thank-you. It's not that I don't want to contribute to him. It's just I would rather do it on my own terms if and when I can.
