Quick question if anyone here knows:
Spouse and I have been separated for a couple of years and are now jointly applying for a divorce.
We were married in the Philippines, and therefore have a marriage certificate from there. It doesn't require a translation, as it is in English.
Would it require an affidavit though? To prove it's our names there on the certificate since it's not a Canada-issued document?
If so, does anyone know if family courts are willing to do that on the same day we turn in our forms or must we do this prior to that?
Thanks a bunch!
