Can anyone recommend a good lawyer? I'm looking to have an initial consultation to help decide how best to proceed in splitting with my wife.

I have to question the idea of calling the LSoUC. Who are they going to suggest for you? ...new lawyers? old friends? winners? losers? people they favour? lawyers who are not snakes?.......I don't think so.

They are going to give a referral to a lawyer for a 30 minute phone consultation. It will cost around $6 on the phone bill. Why wouldn't you take that? It will cost next to nothing and won't obligate you. If you don't like what the lawyer has to say, you move on. It's a virtual freebie, take it.
