  • Financial Statement

    Good day,

I'm self employed so I'm not sure what the answer is.
EX hypothetical : if I make 50000k/year in commision but I have 25000 in expenses which INCOME do I use for my financial statement and for child support calculations ?

    Thank you,

PS: the other side lawyer is using the line 150 from NOA. Is that correct ?

If you have 50/50 off set then both incomes matter.

If your ex is employed by an organization (not self) then line 150 is used.

You should do a search on canlii or self employed and child support to see what expenses can be subtracted from your income. Expenses the govt accepts are not necessarily ones the courts would.
