I knew they were not allowed to represent in Family Law in court, but told they were recently given authority by the justice system to do more. Unsure what exactly. They are also costly!
I was told by the Court clerk that once a trial has started, no party is allowed to file any documetns. I had difficulty filing my response to request to admit although I was given only 10 days to respond instead of 20. Mistake made by clerk accepting the documents, and reason she accepted to file my response only,
Having the insurance as witness is out of the question as they are outside the province, and I would have to pay for all their expenses, including airfare, motels and so forth. I will request an Order, although this insurance companies took forever to review an Order with their legal dept. refusing to comply with Order as their name they say is not specifically written on the Order although they are a "third party". Would Justices list all third parties in a Court Order?

In order to help, can you clarify: at what stage is your case? Have you had a trial management conference? Has the trial been set for specific sitting dates when is the sitting?

Had Case conference in 2007, six other motions, an assignment court date in March with a trial set within 30 days (not giving much time to file and respond to material), three day trial in March lacking time, therefore another assignment court date end of May with trial resuming at the June sitting. Unusal? I would say so!
