DB pension, LIRA and income tax

Hi! Hope someone can help!

Separated for nearly 2 years after 20 years and still negotiating.

I have a DB pension and owe ~$200k from it to my ex.

If I use the equity from the sale of the house and transfer this to a LIRA, is that a deduction from my income? Like a contribution to a "spousal" RRSP?
