  • Definition of Parental Control - Family Law Act

Is anyone aware of a legal definition for parental control, i.e. withdrawing from parental control?

17 year old has moved out of his Mom's house and is living with his grandmother. Mom receives the child support. Is this considered withdrawing from parental control? Who should receive child support...mother? grandmother? 17 year old directly? or no child support?

    Thanks...

    no cs for mom

If mom doesn't have the kid, then no cs.
If there is no order to pay granny for cs I don't think she gets it either.

Loosely what the term means is that the child has left what ever parent they are with they have moved out and are supporting themselves. ie living with friends or boyfriend/girlfriend. Another way is that they apply to the courts and are what is termed emancipated. This is generally for a minor child that like you could say has "divorced the parents". Under both situations there would not be support paid.
