  • Overtime & change in circumstances

I was wondering how my situation would effect child support.

On occasion I'm on call at my work - I get a standard on call pay for the week I'm on call and overtime pay for any calls I take during this period. I don't see my check for upto 7 weeks. What am I suppose to do with this overtime as it's not regular.

Also, on the same topic - I may get acting pay (temporary raise to cover for someone else) for a 2 month period - would I have to increase my child support just for this 2 month period and then adjust it when it's complete?

There are many ways to determine income. Some use an average of the last 3 years income tax returns line 150 if the payor income flucuates from year to year. They then compare this amount to the child support tables. How can a person predict how much overtime or bonus's they will earn in the future.
