My separation agreement was drawn up through a paralegal recommended by our mediator.I now need it finalized and the original lawyer I used wants to charge me thousands to witness it. Does anyone know of a low cost way to finalize it.My ex and I agree to everything so it is just to get the 2 signatures and make it legal.I am out of cash as I had fees to pay to get the new mortgage.Any help is greatly welcomed?

Your just need an "Independent Legal Advice". It shouldn't cost more than 2-300. Call around, and don't let yourself talked into something else.

Make sure you get "Independent Legal Advice" no matter how broke you think you are. It's worth every penny, I'm in a total mess because I didn't. From what I've heard rszalai is correct in the amount. That's not bad.
