Does a history of domestic abuse affect spousal support or any aspect of the separation agreement?

The main difference is that mediators will usually not take a file with a history of domestic abuse.

I was told it makes no difference. In Ontario you can be physically and emotionally abused by your ex spouse and still be ordered to pay spousal. Even if the ex was charged and convicted of it. We are not talking about just accusations. Talk about adding insult to injury. Broken system.
