  • Pension and common law

Ex and I had 2 kids before we were married and living together. I was working full time and have a pension but didn’t buy it back for my maternity leaves. We got married shortly after we had baby #2. Fast forward to equalization and I want to input the date we began cohabitating because it make sense when we lived as a family and had two kids. My lawyer said this may be hard to argue but can be done. If two people have 2 children and cohabitated before marriage what is hard to argue?
