  • motion denied by court

Tried to file a motion in one court where the files is, they denied it saying to had to be done in a different court. Any idea why they would do that

Jurisdiction of the court? Could you provide a bit more info? i.e. what was the motion, under what statute (law)?

Then your first step is to have the court order registered in your jurisdiction. Take a copy of it to the courthouse, and see the court clerk

Since it is regarding child support, it can be registered in the jurisdiction where the payor lives. If it were access or custody, you would need to file in the jurisdiction where the child lives.
