  • Need some advice

    Hi,

So I went to trial, self rep. I received the Judgement and the calculations are wrong. The Judge imputed an amount on my ex, all of the arrears calculations are done with the imputed amount but then he used her underemployed wage when he calculated the child support and spousal support going forward. There is no explanation why it would be this way.

Any advice on how to proceed with this?

Immediately contact trial coordination to schedule a date before the judge to address this. You may want to have a lawyer do this, since polite correspondence of "I think there was a mistake" from a professional will go much better then, "aha you duffed it!", and a judge may be more inclined to read the latter from a self-rep.

If you cannot get it sorted within 30 days of receiving judgment you may need to file an appeal.
