It is to my understanding that I may not bring a motion after a settlement conference, am I correct?
I have a SC this week (very short notice and I will be filing late- long story, if the facts are relevant, ask and I will explain). I found out Friday July 6th that the SC is taking place (on almost all issues).
Anyhow, during CC (way, way ,way back in Sept.), the other party had agreed to disclose relevant information to me. The judge directed me that once I receive such information, then, at that time it would be in my best interest to bring a motion on such, immediately. Fast forward until now, and after several attempts to receive this information, I never got it. I am now receiving a small portion of this information now, as they filed it with their SC brief. Therefore, considering I just received their brief on Friday and court is on Thursday, I cannot bring a motion before the SC date, so do I just try to make motions during the SC. UGH! I am feeling so overwhelmed and confused at the moment, that any enlightenment would help ( I hope ).
