  • How black and white is the equalization payment?

He is disputing the equalization payment amount that was calculated. Mainly it's his pension (~$150k) versus mine (~$30k) that is resulting in a $50k equalization payment to me.

How clear cut is this calculation? Is it worth fighting for?

If this info is useful, there is no child support or spousal support going either way. S7 are split 50/50.

Are these public service pensions? If yes you can get them both valued through PPSA.
If not you need a pension valuation.

So the issue is he does not believe it? A public sector valuation is pretty much indisputable. Are you represented? Is he?

We're both represented. He's messaging me directly (not through lawyers) trying to get me to agree to a lower number. I'm saying no.

              Lol Thank you.

Here's hoping he doesn't waste any more time arguing this.
