  • Can I get a copy of a closed FRO case?

    Hi there

Looking to get a copy of a closed FRO case that has been withdrawn. We never saw any of the details of exactly what was being claimed in arrears as the ex withdrew three weeks after opening the case. We only received the notice from FRO that a complaint was filed ... not how much was claimed to be owing. Tried getting details from FRO but case has been closed now so we can't get anything. Any one else run up against this?

Whats the point. If FRO considers it closed, it is closed.

Because the ex continues to threaten that he is in arrears whenever she gets in a bad mood (often) and that she will contact FRO again, so we want to know what amount she claimed he was in arrears about from the get-go. As we never saw any paperwork, and nothing ever changed wrt payment amount, frequency, etc, we are in the dark as to what the amount she is claiming is in arrears. Unfortunately, he never thought to ask the FRO at the time what the amount was ... and then it was closed and he let it go.

If she tries again, she will have to start from scratch, so there is no point.

did he miss any payments? Did he update the amount owing yearly? If he did everything right then there should be no issue.
