  • Child support through FRO or not?

I'm going to start paying offset child support. Is it better to have the child support handled by FRO or to pay it outside of FRO? Perhaps by etransfer or cheque?
    Thanks

Going through FRO makes it difficult to update. Pay it by cheque or etransfer so you have a record.

I heard that going through FRO is a nightmare. Kind of like getting a cable bill rectified. The wrong amount comes out, or not at all, or comes out twice in the same month. You will be constantly trying to have mistakes rectified.

If you can agree to monthly transfers between the 2 of you, it’s the easiest way to do it.

Reasonable adults do not need FRO. FRO should ONLY be used if the paying parent has demonstrated an inability to pay through regular means. Judges these days don't like putting things to FRO unless they need to be. Lots gets messed up by FRO...

95% of the population doesn't need FRO. Just 5% of high conflict situations.
