Is that what it's called? Looks somewhat like a weigelia (sp?) but with pale flowers. I have a variegated weigelia that flowers like this. Beautiful- love it!

It is a beautybush. I have one as well, in full bloom now as well. Not a member of the spiraea family. My spiraea were done blooming over a week ago for this season.

Lovely job Rioe, I always cut mine back hard after the bloom so it blends in with the rest of my backyard, so it never looks as full as yours!
Now that I've seen how full it can get, I might have to move it to an area when it's finished blooming this year, where it can be on full display and let it grow.

Common name is Beauty Bush. It does have a mild scent, noticeable but nothing spectacular. I'm lazy, I hardly cut mine at all, though it does look much less attractive after the bloom is done.

That's simply the auto feature on my camera, with the photo shrunk down significantly to fit the resolution requirements to upload here. I'm also a lazy photographer.

Ok Rioe, moving mine tomorrow - it's overgrowing onto the deck again, I either cut it back or move it. Corona, g&t on me if you want to help me move it!
