  • Share costs for psychological assesment

    Hi there!
If both sides agree on the psychological assessment for custody issues - are the costs shared accordingly to the incomes?
If the costs should be divided 50/50, is there any possibilities to insist on the income based cost sharing?
    Thanks a lot!

You’re out of luck. Even if one spouse is a multi-millionaire and the other is penniless you will both be required to pay 50% and even if you both disagree to the assessment you will both be ordered to pay 50%.

If there is any insurance coverage then any leftover out of pocket expense would be considered a S.7 extraordinary expense shared proportionate to income.

Edit: assuming this is an assessment for the children.

Insurance covers therapy. Not a psychological assessment for custody and access to be used in court by a judge to determine same. Court related custody and access assessments are not s7 expenses and are not divided as such.
