Hello! I am wondering if anyone has any ideas how to deal with this issue.
it is joint custody situation, child primary living with mother. Chlild needs braces, so father took the chlild orthodontist, the treatment is started, everybody is in agreement how things will proceed. Father pays for treatmant fully, then mom (her birthday is first) remburses him when she gets the refund and provides documents for father to submit a claim to his insurance.
But, things did not work as such. Father paid for everything, but so far he only got the first reimbursment and documents. After that he did not get anything from the mother (refund or documents showing how much her insurance paid). Father tried contacting the mom's insurance company but they say it is between the two of you. Father's insurance company said the same thing.
This just can't be right! is there a way, short of taking mom to court, to at least get a copy of the claim processed by her insurance so that father can submit a claim to his insurance?
Is there a law that dictates who has right to access claims submitted on behalf of children. I couldn't find anything.
Thank you!
