    I heard about that Hamilton case before, not sure where.

    What I have noticed is that Courts have the discretion to exercise this power but very rarely go to such extremes of imprisoning one parent for denials of a child's access. Further, Courts also have the discretion to impose fines against a custodial parent for denials of a child's access. However, in extreme cases of denials, more and more courts will just change primary residence of the child to the non custodial parent.
