I'm puzzled at what you regard as favouratism in that case. Birth mother sought full custody, the other parent was essentially an adoptive parent, sought joint and got it. Who was favoured? They were both involved parents, the judge saw this and orderd 50/50 week about, despite the birth mother's argument for sole. It seems an unbiased decision to me.

We both agreed on joint custody on both children at the very beginning, he consented upon mediation. Until almost 3 years later he decided he wanted sole custody of his biological daughter, and have no more responsibility of his non-biological daughter now 17 (whom he has been in her life since she was 1, and the biological father had never been in her life)
Even after his court nonsense I still did not seek sole custody. I am still lost though regarding his accusations, about him saying there is no equal parenting, and he just a pay check. He is involved as much as his schedule (or himself) allows him to be.
I did look up the definition of equal parenting, and shared responsibilities did come up as a part of the definition. Seems his schedule doesn't allow him to be involved in any of these up and coming responsibilities. As for bring there for the children emotionally, the same goes, as his schedule permits it.

If there were some case law whereby a judge spanked a few parents for taking the kids without a plan, I think we would have a better system.
I do agree for the most part it is very fair.

read the first post and some inbetween
mens groups serve a purpose and are playing
an important role in reshaping this countrys
family law fiasco
in calgary 4 years ago i took my children and
fled from abusive spouse whole made my children
bleed from the mouth there was no where to go,
unlike womens shelters in alberta which receive
millions$ of dollars and number in the 100's there
is only 1 mens group who has fought for years
for sponsorship, in 2011 they received about $1000 ...
there is also a social aspect to mens groups
where information and views are freely shared
perhaps sharing stories of what was done to them
some will condem them perhaps for fear of what
organized fathers and men are capable of in terms
of changing this countrys discriminatory and in
some cases ludicris laws
mens groups are thee best place I know of to get
information on lawyers that will lay down and watch
a father get the traditional 48 hours every two
weeks access to his kids - i learned to late but now
spead the word ...
i will leave you with a storey as told to me from
a man I met at a men's group - he served in afganistan
for this nation - thats for "you , me and all our children"
, sent his pay check home to loving wife
when he returned to canada his wife had been living
with a guy and $ all gone, the rcmp threw him off
their property ...
he had a break down , the wife took him to court for
spousal and got it, not satisfied with the amount the wife
persued trying to prove that as a machinist he could make
more $ - that he had $1000's of dollars of tools in their
garage ... so the judge gave her more another $ 15% ,
then his wife sold all the tools ...
you bet there are p1ssed off men looking for answers at
mens groups ...
when this shite stops then there will be no need
for mens groups ... till then they are here to stay!
may not be support for this idea here but women in Canada
with sons should embrace any support men can get and also
voice their support for same else some day their son will only
be seeing his kids a few hours a month ...
then again ... my views are partially because I am in Calgary Alberta Canada what i see as the last stronghold of a "mothers only" legal system

I Havent all the post in here cause the last thing i read was that the father only had To pay the child support on The table charts. I am a fathers of 4 kids. Seperated and here how my life turned out YouTube untile we have equal parenting most divorce will destroyed the father or mother and mostly the children. Why should a father lose everything cause of what the mothers wants. Some mothers have no clue how evil is the familly courts systeme. But remember one thing GOD will be the last one to judge
