  • Common Law Help

    Hey There,

SO i need some advice as to what i should do about my situation.

So i live with my common law partner of 5 years, we have a 4 year old together. We purchased a home 3 years ago but the title is in my partners name. Now we are separating and i'am expected to move out with nothing. Meanwhile i have contributed to this house and the stuff in it since the beginning. my partner says that the lawyer said i'm entitled to nothing besides child support and half of daycare expenses. I do have my own appointment to speak with a lawyer but it is not till the end of the month and i' am hoping to get some information on here before hand.

    Thanks in advance.

What province do you liv in? Talk to your lawyer...3 years cohabitation makes the house and everything else half yours...
