Default Unilateral School Enrolment

Saw this on Canlii today and thought it would be of interest to those with an ex who makes unilateral decisions on school. Im actually surprised the judge said one year there and then next year at dads choice.

reading the case law: https://www.canlii.org/en/on/onsc/do...1onsc1986.html

ew. the whole thing smacks of the father's control issues. like- holy shit; let the kid stay home one more year. loads of kids are red-shirted (held back) if they aren't ready for kindergarten. and I got the same advice re: the diapers- public schools aren't supposed to clean the kids up.

And arguing with the kids Doctor, who said "worried about kids respiratory issues. should be online". and the father is fighting that?

But I agree with rockscan- weird that a judge would order the school changed after a year.

For some reason the commentary came out wrong. This is the commentary on the unilateral school choice.

The judge could not choose for the mother as it would condone her choice so he let the school year ride out then at the end switch schools. Seems right.

My ex pulled crap like this while we were married and continued during separation. I do not know why people are so self-entitled.
