  • Affidavit - Do you use "I" or "Respondent"?

    If you were the respondent originally, that's what you remain for all motions - so should you refer to yourself as Respondent in the affidavit or just use the pronoun?

    I’d say respondent... when a judge is reading they won’t want to be reading “I”

      You use "I".

        Yes, if you're writing out your affidavit info/points, use "I".


        ex.
        ...I attach hereto as Exhibit X, the report blah blah blah...


        ...On several occasions I requested the Applicant to sign blah blah blah...


        ...I have volunteered at child's school since X date, and still do presently....
